Our One Day Coffee Workshop is a three-part coffee class aimed at giving a complete education to both the novice and budding enthusiast.
The coffee workshop will begin with Seed to Cup, an introductory lecture exploring coffee's transformation from bean to beverage including growing, processing, roasting, and brewing.
This is followed by our Tasting Exercise, an introduction to evaluating coffee using acidity, flavor, body, sweetness, and balance as indicators of a successful brew. Learn how our baristas develop their palates and build their coffee vocabulary for a professional setting.
Finally, our Manual Brewing Workshop will explore extraction using three different brewing devices, each of which can be used to optimally brew coffee in various settings. Students will have an opportunity to practice and refine their technique.
This class is five hours with a one-hour lunch break.
